axis

terms of service

Plain terms for a small tool.

effective 2026-07-11

Axis is a personal task scheduler operated by Beau Leach. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short — Axis is a small tool, and the terms are sized to match.

The service

Axis schedules your tasks into free time on your connected calendar. It is provided as-is, is under active development, and features may change, break, or be removed. Axis is currently offered free of charge; if that ever changes, existing users will be told before anything is billed.

Your account

You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account and are responsible for keeping that account secure. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and use the service in compliance with the laws that apply to you. One person per account; don’t share sessions.

Calendar access

When you connect a calendar, you authorize Axis to read events in its scheduling window and to create, move, and delete only the blocks it created itself, which it marks private on your calendar. Axis never edits or deletes events it did not create. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings, and revocation takes effect immediately.

Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service; don’t use it to store unlawful content; don’t reverse-engineer other users’ data (there is tenant isolation, and attempting to defeat it is a violation of these terms). Accounts engaged in abuse may be suspended or removed.

Your content

Tasks, projects, notes, and journal entries you create remain yours. You grant Axis only the license needed to store and process them to provide the service — nothing more. See the privacy policy for how data is handled and deleted.

No warranty

The scheduler is a best-effort optimizer, not a guarantee. Axis may place, move, or fail to place blocks in ways you don’t expect, and calendar sync can lag or fail. Do not rely on Axis as the sole safeguard for critical deadlines or appointments. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and the operator’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it (currently: nothing).

Termination

You can stop using Axis at any time; revoking calendar access and requesting deletion (see the privacy policy) fully winds down your data. The operator may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

Changes and contact

Material changes to these terms move the effective date above and are announced in the app. Continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions: beau@beauleach.com.
